A hands-on interactive piece which uses my father's
1950s' era radio as an interface which triggers animation and sound clips
taking you on a journey through the formative years of my parents. inspiration
came from the decaying pages of 1940s and 50s papers. i play with the texture
and deterioration of images, text and physical qualities of the actual paper,
matching animations of this with interviewed monologues of reminiscences
from my parents. themes include war, thrift, media".
